Most people dealing with firearms in South Africa get bounced between a training provider, a paperwork agent and a dealer. Here they are all in the same corridor — which is why we can get someone from “I have never held one” to a licensed owner without them ever repeating themselves.
Gunnery Arms & Ammo
A licensed dealer at Melcksloot Village stocking firearms, ammunition and accessories for sport shooters, hunters and first-time owners. If something is not on the shelf, we order it in from our South African suppliers — usually about a week.
In 2022 we added the Gunnery Indoor Shooting Range, a Natshoot-approved facility built as an extension to the shop. Whether you shoot alone or bring a group, the range session is exclusively yours.

Founded by Mark to do one thing properly: make licensing firearms for law-abiding citizens as easy and smooth as possible. We are a solutions-based company covering the entire firearm licensing process from start to finish, plus defensive training for civilians and the security industry.
We work nationwide — competency and licensing applications are handled entirely by email and courier, wherever you are in South Africa. Proficiency training happens in Cape Town, on the Gunnery range.

Started his firearm journey at three with a stick. A successful competitive career and several years with large firearm retailers later, he founded Gunlicence in 2017 and now runs the advanced courses.

Several years with the company and a deep understanding of its values. A knowledgeable instructor and a genuine team player.

From a successful competitive shooting background with several national titles. Keen eye for detail and a 100% success rate on applications — a number she does not intend to change.

Joined after more than half a decade in private security. Brings a wealth of knowledge about firearms and the technicalities of licensing and administration.
